Purchased walking shoes 11 months ago and totally unwearable. Sole splitting from the toe down to heel. I have treated them correctly since purchase but made no difference. Won’t be buying again!!’

Merrell "customer support" is a misnomer…
Contacted Merrell "customer support" after my shoes became very slippery on wet surfaces (eg roadways, footpaths, rock faces). Was sent an email by "Brad" that my shoes as hiking shoes were not suitable for hard surfaces so should only be worn where the surface "gives" and that he would tell sales staff to ensure hiking shoes buyers were properly warned of the issue. I assume he meant that if you start your hike from a made car park you should walk barefoot to the nearest mud patch or quicksand to put your shoes on, and remember to remove them if you come to any solid surface during your hike!
So much for customer support providing actual support.

I feel bad that the quality of shoes…
I feel bad that the quality of shoes have changed. The shoes my mom and my self love wearing are no longer in production. I ordered a new pair, the ENCORE MOC 4 and am disappointed at the material and fit. Feels like canvas vs the similar style few years back. I regret not storing a few of them. I tried on the old pair my mom has and compared with the new ones. What a difference! Old ones has good arch support where as the current order arch support sucks.
Stress fracture in my heel after only a few months of use.
I bought my first pair of Merrells 3 years ago. They were predominantly leather with quality stitching and a Vibram sole. I got 2 years of rugged use out of them, albeit not wearing them every single day. I returned to Dick's Sporting Goods hoping to find the same pair or something comparable. What I found was shoes with single stitching and made predominantly out of Rawhide. Because the brand had served me so well I figured I would give them a go again anyway. After 4 months, again not wearing them every day, I developed a stress fracture in my left heel. The only other time this ever happened was wearing jungle boots in the army with a steel shank in the sole. After 6 months of use the shoes were basically falling apart. I'm sad and frustrated to see what was once a quality brand go this far downhill this quickly. No more for me. This time I bought a pair of Keens instead.

Atrocious
Atrocious. Rude phone staff. Delivery date constantly changed. Packages stuck abroad. Total mess. Was told I can't cancel my order...which makes no sense.
Not like they care right
Not like they care right?
Anyway! I got a card in thhe mail because I had ordered some shoes last spring. They change the bill after check out. I used the 25% off promo code and it worked ($43) Then When I get the Email to confirm it was $27. It did this last time but it wasn't worth the time to call them. I can't let this slide this time! So I am going to waste a bunch of time calling them in the morning. Yeah! I wish I had done a Screen Shot of the Check out page! I be passing all this off to the consumer fraud protection bureau. This seems to be their biz model! We'll act a woke but stick them if we can! They get $20 or $30 off each of us??? That's a lot of ripping off! I will never buy here again! Get face to face if you're going to steal from me! I would say Don't buy here!

3rd pair. 3 uses and the sole is destroyed...
3 full business days to respond, even with a "sucks to be you". But cant.....
Wow... the magic number three. Fools me once, shame on me. Fool me twice. Shame on you. Fool me a third time, I burn your reputation down

Only reason why i havent yet, I was.... sadly EXPECTING the shoes to be subpar
Loyal customer since 2012. No more. Time to find a reliable shoe company... again...."
I had 3 pair of Merrells that I loved
I had 3 pair of Merrells that I loved. I went to put them on the other day and all 3 pair completely seperated at the sole. You'd have to give me replacements before I wore them again, because I refuse to buy any more.
I Brought a pair of Merrell boots from…
I Brought a pair of Merrell boots from a outdoor wear shop after having a pair of Berghaus boots for over 8 years. The Merrell boots have started to split after very light use & stitching loosening. I am really disappointed with this brand selling below standard boots that haven’t been used much over 14 months & I was told that these where the best boots after a chat with sales person for me & told these would last years ( not true )
14m use and the sole coming away and…
14m use and the sole coming away and the suede is splitting. They have lost their way I'm afraid, will never purchase this brand again.

Not the same comfortable sole anymore
Have been through 6 pairs of Moabs in the last 6 years. They are a one year shoe, which I can accept as I am on my feet for 10 hours a day on concrete. They were originally a blessing at first, as they were very comfortable, but the newest pair I have recently purchased are ridiculously uncomfortable to the point that I have developed shooting foot pains and am even having trouble sleeping from it. I'm done with Merrell.
Quality has vanished !!!
I have been buying Merrell shoes and boots for both myself and my wife for over 15 years and have always been a fan..... BUT - lately the quality has dropped massively. If you see a pair with the different coloured "track" down the centre of the sole - AVOID at all costs.
I have a pair with very very little wear and one of these sections is coming away. But as they are over a year old (holdays etc been postponed due to lockdowns etc) they will not do anything about it. I also discovered that Merrell have a date code on shoes - so if you buy old stock without realising they wont honour either.
Sad for them really , my wife and I currently own 7 pairs (summer/Winter shoes and boots) ..... from now on we will be looking elsewhere.
They did offer a 25% code - but all the prices on their website are way higher than retailers - and 25% off of poor quality tat still isnt a bargain !
Sorry Merrell but you've lost 2 loyal customers.

Boots fell apart after minimal use
Boots fell apart after minimal use. The boot came off the sole on the same place on both shoes (clearly some kind of design/manufacturing issue) meaning they lost waterproofing and are now useless. Merrell would not repair or replace as they are over a year old. Clearly they don't expect their products to have any longevity.
